AUSTIN HOT SPRINGS, OREGON

Closed to clothing optional use

Austin Hot Springs is located a short distance outside of Estacada, Oregon.  Is now a develped park and camping area. It is now unlikely that the Clothing optional tradition  will continue at this site.

DIRECTIONS: Austin is on Forest Road 46 about 4 miles SE of the junction with FR 63. From Estacada, Oregon 224 turns into FR 46 about 1/2 mile east of Ripplebrook Ranger Station. It's very roughly 10 miles from Ripplebrook to Austin.

( Note : . Also Austin hot springs has been  purchased by The Northwest Forest Conservancy  It is not clear what the oppionon the N.F.C. has conserning public nudity.

Heres what i have to say about these springs....

Austin: Was very crowded during the weekend that I was there. Its more like 3.2 miles from where FR46 hits 63. The better pools look like they're across the stream. We didn't visit. Not a naked body in sight but there were zillions of uncontrolled, screaming kids running around unattended. If  I were to return it would be during the week and I would forge across the river to get a lil' solice.
